What profile will actually fit in Monroe
Two clear populations again. The 1990s and 2000s houses carry 5-inch K-style on hangers with builder-minimum 2x3 downspouts. The pre-1970 core has been through at least one and often two gutter generations, so what is on the house now could be anything, and the meaningful question is not what profile it is but how many times the fascia has been fastened into. A board with three sets of old holes in it has very little sound timber left within reach of a new screw.
Seamless does not change any of that, and it is worth being precise about what it does change. The machine sits on a trailer at the kerb and rolls flat aluminium coil into finished profile at whatever length is called for, so a 46-foot elevation becomes one 46-foot piece with no joint anywhere along it. Sectional gutter would have four connectors in that run, each one a place for sealant to fail and debris to catch.
What seamless does not remove is the joints at the corners and the end caps, and those are where gutters actually leak, because a mitre sits where two roof planes deliver water at once and at speed. That is why we hand-mitre, two pieces cut to the true angle of your roof rather than a factory 90 riveted in, and why it is included in the rate rather than sold as an upgrade.
The other question Monroe raises is whether the profile you want will physically sit under the roof edge. Shallow overhangs on older housing frequently rule out 6-inch entirely, and finding that out on the day is somebody's problem. We measure the eaves before ordering, and where more capacity is genuinely needed but a wider trough will not fit, the answer is an additional downspout, which is cheaper anyway.

What Monroe itself changes
The housing in Monroe
Monroe splits almost exactly in half and the two halves want different conversations. Around 37% of the housing went up between 1990 and 2009 in the subdivisions that spread out from the town, and those houses are on original gutter that is now due a downspout review rather than a replacement. Against that, 25.7% predates 1970 and sits in the historic core and the older rental stock, where the gutter has usually been repaired several times by several people and the fascia board underneath carries the accumulated evidence of all of it.
What drops on these roofs
The older core has the mature street planting you would expect of housing that age, with large hardwoods directly over the roofs on several of the streets nearest the centre. The subdivision half is more open and its trees are still well below roof height on many lots. Union County generally is more agricultural and less densely wooded than Mecklenburg, so the debris load across Monroe as a whole is lighter than the metro average, but it is concentrated very unevenly.
